On February 19th we lost an angel. She was buried on February 22nd and that night my moms health took a turn for the worst. The rest was a whirlwind and I havent really dealt with everything thats happened yet. What I do know is that Donas death like her life was an amazing journey shared by many. Through her experiences and the way she lived her life, the way she carried herself she taught more lessons that anyone could dream of. She never gave up she never stopped fighting. She allowed us all into her heart her mind and her soul. To see life through Donas eyes was to see the most spectacular energetic magical adventure anyone could imagine. And to see death through Dona was a peaceful beautiful journey filled with the fondest memories, laughter and tears. We gathered around her and prayed, we spoke to her, played her music and held the phone to her ear when a friend called to say good-bye. We shared our favorite Dona adventures and even revealed a few secrets. Andrea Ziomek offered guided meditation to help her on her way.They said she would pass quickly but Joe Brannigan knew it would be different Dona would go when she was ready, on her terms, her way and thats how it was. To be at her bedside was a gift, through her journey I was prepared to help my mom at the end of her life. All fear was removed and instead a sense of peace and tranquility was all that surrounded us. Only an Angel like Dona Marzigliano Brannigan could have a death that shined as brightly as her life. Tomorrow is Dona s Birthday when the sun shines and the breeze blows through your hair know that its our friend blowing out her candles, blowing kisses to her babies and the Love of her Life.
