On Friday last week five new officers were enrolled into the ranks of the Special Constabulary within Highland and Islands Division. The new Special Constables, all based on the mainland were sworn in as part of an oath ceremony conducted at the Divisional HQ in Inverness. Justice of the Peace, Pamela Marrs conducted the ceremony with Chief Superintendent Julian Innes speaking to the proud family members who were also in attendance. The new officers will serve within the following areas: S161 Callum Hogg - Nairn S152 Paul Dzialdowski - Dingwall S160 Emma MacGillivray - Inverness S162 Ross Naismith - Inverness S163 John MacKerlich - Skye All of the officers have sworn an oath that they will solemnly and sincerely declare and affirm that they will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of constable. This voluntary commitment demonstrates a remarkable personal contribution by each member of the Special Constabulary which is gratefully received and recognised.
