On January 1st, the 2015 Mummers Parade will begin at 15th & Market Streets at Dilworth Park and travel south on Broad Street to Washington Avenue. To prepare for the parade, today, December 31st, several streets around City Hall have been posted with no parking signs for the set-up and staging in advance of the 2015 Mummers Parade. These include the following: 16th to 20th Streets on JFK Blvd. 16th from Chestnut to Arch Streets 20th from Race Street to the Ben Franklin Parkway Market Street from 15th to 16th Streets 1700 Race Street NE corner of Logan Circle The east side of 15th Street below JFK Blvd. will be restricted to two lanes until 4:00 AM when it will be closed completely for set-up. At the same time, Market Street will be closed at 16th Street to eastbound traffic. Just after 6:00 AM, the remainder of the staging area will be closed. This includes 15th Street south to Race, JFK from Broad Street to 20th Street, Market Street from City Hall to 20th Street, Arch Street from Broad Street to 18th, and 16th from Chestnut to Arch. On January 1st, at 7:00 AM, the entire parade route from City Hall to Washington Avenue will be closed to traffic. Cross streets will be open when possible however, motorists can expect delays.
