On July 10, a 3 1/2 month old chocolate lab mix was shot in Marshall, IN (yes, the owners have been in contact with the prosecutor and charges are being sought on the perpetrator for reckless endangerment with a firearm and possibly animal cruelty). Apparently, the person fired the gun within city limits very near to other individuals who were in the street with the dog. The pups name is Khali and she is going to be ok, but is having surgery this coming Monday for a leg amputation. We have created an online fundraiser to help cover the costs of Khalis emergency care and upcoming surgery, which is estimated between $700-$800.
