On June 23rd 2012 I discovered, finally, that the only thing standing between my dignity and my dinner suit was a cummerbund! I was unable to do up the waistband even fully extended. It had been coming by degrees over a few months but I ignored it until that day. weighing in, I found I was 14st 4.3/4 lbs, just about the heaviest ever. I resolved to go on a diet and by September 24th, the day before my birthday, I had lost a total of 30lbs. Now one year on I have managed to keep the weight under control and this morning weighed in at 12st 3Lbs. still managing the loss but without the strictness of the loss diet. I am making a chocolate cake to celebrate!
