On Monday Sept. 16, at noon, the science community will be holding rallies all across Canada in support of open, transparent, independent science, and the sharing of scientific findings freely - not in the current sharply limited manner our federal government is forcing on the Canadian public. I propose to organize a rally on that day in Salmon Arm. This is an issue that affects everyone! All the technology we use and appreciate today comes from painstaking basic science research, carried out over centuries and shared freely among scientists and with the general public! I will let everyone know more details as soon as they are worked out. But noon on Monday Sep. 16, for about 30-45 min, is the time and date. Anyone who would like to assist in organizing this event would be most welcome.
