On Monday night, I talked to my daddy on the phone for what I know will ever be the last time that I talk to him on the phone again. He assured me that everything would be ok and we both said I love you. On Tuesday, he was in so much pain that I could tell that it was unbearable, but he still told me that he loved me and squeezed my hand. On Wednesday,daddy just wasnt responsive at all, but I had a dear friend of his who contacted me through FB and told me that daddy could still hear what I was saying to him and that I just needed to talk to him and comfort him. I did. Tonight, I talked to him and I said everything that I needed him to hear some of it stuff that I had told him before but I even told him tonight how he was my hero as a kid because of the stories that he use to tell be about working at Oak Ridge as guard and how when they had security drills, and yet someway, he would find a way to "tighten security" because he would find his way in to where they thought that he couldnt go!!! lol I could see his eyebrows move and a couple of times he almost opened his eyes. After I talked to him, about 10 minutes later I noticed that the nurse said that his breathing had gone from 80 to 90. I want to believe and I do believe that daddy started resting better and felt better after I told him what he needed to here! The nurse that is with him tonight is a Godsend too. She felt the need to tell me also that daddy could hear me and she said that swith her experiences with terminal patients that until, they get something worked out that they need to work out that they will hang on until they are ready!! I believe that Jesus is talking to my daddy and a soon as he catches a glimpse of heaven that he will go. I dont want him to go a day sooner or later than he and the Lord get ready for him to go!
