On Q & A on Monday night, the topic was metal health in rural Australia (filmed in Qld), I highly recommend everyone watch the entire episode. I wasnt really aware on how bad the issue was in so many sectors of rural living and I do not wish to negate all the many reasons suicide and mental health rates are so high in rural Australia, however will draw attention to this question and the responses from MP Bob Katter and Josh Thomas, purely because MP Bob Katters refuses to extend his own rhetoric on mental health towards his gay constituents. For someone who really seemed to speak from a place of concern and care, with regards to this issue it is truly sad that it appears that his care has a limit and for him not to be able to see the damage that causes is just mind boggling...
