On Sunday, as we travelled home from Bristol, I listened to a lot - TopicsExpress

On Sunday, as we travelled home from Bristol, I listened to a lot of my favourite records along with some of our new songs and thought about just how much the past five nights and the two December nights in Glasgow had meant to me. Touring is something that I took for granted in the past. We hadnt toured for about a year and I have genuinely missed being out there performing our songs every night. Im writing this for many reasons, but its mainly to say thank you to everyone that made our Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters gigs so special. When we were asked to perform our debut record I wasnt sure but I was very happy to be proven wrong. I really enjoyed every gig and the reaction we got from everyone in the audience each night was unreal. Playing those old songs for the first time in many years felt really good. It was amazing to see how much that record meant to so many people. I really enjoyed speaking with people that came to the gig after we played each night, it was great to share stories of how you discovered the band and what our music means to you. Meeting people that had travelled from America, Israel, Italy, as well as from different parts of Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales to see us was a real pleasure. The wee gifts and presents people brought along for us were overwhelming and I would like to say a special thanks for your generosity. I hope my drunken chat was ok as I was in a celebratory mood each night after the gigs. I loved hanging out with our friends that weve made touring over the years and your support on every tour is always greatly appreciated. We had a great team away with us on this tour so a big thank you to Andy, Gerry, Div, John Paul and those young Dundee boys Vladimir who played a blinder every night opening up for us. Also to Dave McGeachan for suggesting we play the record back in August of last year which sparked the idea to reissue the record. Weve talked about the possibility of more Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters gigs and its something were considering, so, if you want us to play it in your town or city, do speak up :) Also, we cant wait to get out and play you our new songs! We will be certainly doing that at Primavera & T in the Park this year. Were busy planning tours for later in the year so hopefully well be able to meet everyone and share a drink after the gig. Im very excited about the year ahead! All the best Cheers James, on behalf of Andy, Mark, Johnny and Brendan
