On Sunday morning, I watched a huge and starry sky fade into the sunrise in New Mexico. By Monday morning... I was watching another most incredible sunrise over mist covered fields... in Illinois !! Thanks to God ~ and to the gracious and generous prayers, encouragement and support of my beautiful friends and family, I drove over 2000 miles in less than 3 days. And came back to one of the most gorgeous days I can remember (like, ever) in Indiana, and to (ironic bonus) some of the best Mexican food I have ever had :D I had planned to stay and work in LA for 3 weeks... but just after I arrived in LA, I got a job offer that God made it clear I was to accept. In Indianapolis. So it was time to get in my car (which was being stored by a very gracious brother in LA)... and go. I was really afraid, I didnt want to go by myself, didnt want to go at all, and I had no idea how this was going to work out financially or even physically. But I knew I had to listen to His voice, especially as I had been praying so hard for clarity and total surrender. And God (and His angels) were with me all the way. And I went straight from the road into training after driving all the way cross country. After my first two days at the Teacher Academy of Tindley Accelerated Schools, I have no doubt I am where God wants me to be. For now. For at least this school year. I have never been to such an excellent teacher training, and the work we will do in the most impoverished areas of Indianapolis will not only change lives, but literally save lives. And I will have Fridays off with my Dad. My visit to LA was way way (way) too short, but I am so grateful I got to spend time with my daughter, to worship with Turning Point Church, stay with some special sisters, and spend time with just a few special friends. I have received so many blessings I do not deserve, especially in the past two weeks. But the greatest have been with God - who has come to my rescue, shown me great beauty, carried me through loss and heartache, and who has showed up and answered my prayers for clarity and surrender in mighty and beautifully tender ways, and showed me through His people His mercy and infinite love. Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders...
