On friday, my english paper for, The Great Gatsby is due. My prompt is to answer, Is there anyone in the novel who feels true love for a different character?. Its 4am right now. I have been working on this for the past 3 hours.. I decided to look over what I wrote, to make sure up to that point, everything sounded good... And, yeah..... Who knows how to write 650-800 words by friday..? Clearly, i have extra chromosomes. Just as my shredded wheat cereal gets mushy, as it sinks past the surface of my milk, into the bottom of my cereal bowl, Fitzgerald can relate. Most likely, if the novel, The Great Gatsby, was written in 2014, the romantic Jay Gatsby would be tangling up the hearts of all the girls obsessed with The Notebook. Allie, dont feel bad girl, if I were inna retirement home with my husband, and all these ratchet teenage girls were trying to have my husband be their boyfriend, Id probably become a little paranoid too. Just go peacefully die in your retirement home together you two. As a teenage girl, seeing Mr. Gatsbys love for Daisy, and him wanting nothing more then her, by making her the only goal on his mind to fulfill in his lifetime, he DEFINITELY won The cutest boyfriend award of 1925-2014. ...if they made one of those. Glancing over the words in the novel, The Great Gatsby is like using the back of a spoon to ripple over your milks surface in your bowl. You obtain absolutely nothing, besides a couple of milky drops, rolling right back onto the surface. Upon hearing a subtle growl, looking for a substance of nourishment becomes essential! Clear minded, the spoon starts to fall deeper into the white unknown; Met with substance, spoon is able to see past the surface words. Milk, in three quarters of the bowl, shows off how on the surface(outside) all you can see is white, and at old country buffet, all you can eat is always. Sinking to the bottom, slowly turning into mush, if not dissolved, your shredded wheat cereal, is your substance. Although it may not be appealing looking, your substance is ultimately nurturing you! Fitzgerald is able to mention his substances throughout the novel. I see Gatsby as a very in the moment type of man. For instance, back flash to the beginning of the novel, before and after the party at Gatsbys began. Nick tells his friends about being new to the egg of the West, and not knowing a single soul. Jordan baker stops Nick in mid-sentence as he was saying the word soul (in Spanish sol means sun.), with a smirk on her full lips, and her eyes brows slightly raising, she, looking for a breeze, she said... “You must know Gatsby (Fitzgerald 15).
