On my way back to Doha. Stuck in Colombo for over 8 hours listening to cheap Sinhalese and Tamil music on the PA and browsing SPUD Gun projects, I reflect thus; NITT the college I accidentally got admitted to due to a computer error, Divine intervention or Hogwarts interfering with my affairs, either way this college experience has been an eye-opener. I could have chosen to be depressed and whiled away my time watching TV Shows, Anime or Movies all day long. Instead, I -Built an RC Plane -Got in 3D, the mile-high club -Bought and Learnt to play the Ukulele, thus starting a movement. Of sorts -Started with and briefly tinkered with the Arduino -Learnt electronics and soldering(failed at Circuit Theory five times but what the hell...) -Learnt to game like a BOSS(Loadout, Hawken, CoD, kinda) -Learnt to LONGBOARD, started another small movement. -Learnt to love all things TARANTINO -Published an IEEE paper -Got into the final leg of the Texas Instruments All India Educators Conference Semi-Finals(46 out of over 3000) -Met INSANE people(Gopinath Gajapathy, Shadaab, Ulrick Rebello, Kapil Aiyer, Dhima, Kritika Baxla, Navya Kiran, Sherine Brahma, Ganesh Venkataramani, Tushar Nahar, Adyasha Dash. -Met my first and only Love who helped me set my life in order. -Learnt to fly RC Planes(after crashing one of them. Repeatedly) -Learnt to sing better -Learnt to use and program(still working on it) the Raspberry Pi -Mastered my emotions and channeled them into positive stuff So this college may have stolen my enthusiasm for Engineering. I DONT CARE. I learnt a lot of other things, better things. They say that its only after you hit rock bottom do you gain something and discover yourself. Check and Check. I want to do Music.
