On my way from Kuala Lumpur to Cape Town and the HPCA Conference, after a special few days teaching with Dr Anthony Herbert from Brisbane at the amazing Hospis Malaysia (yes it is spelled like that!) . 80 Health care professionals from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Brunei and Myenmar , all so enthusiastic to take paediatric palliative care back to their practices. Great things happening here in Malaysia with their first paediatrician, Dr Lee Chee Chan, doing the new national accredited 3 year course in paeds palliative care and a Malaysian childrens palliative care network up and running led by Dr Koo . Great champions for children here with more keen to develop in their countries and regions. Thanks again to Ednin and Lee Ei for the invitation, lovely hosting as always, and Wai Mun for all the arrangements. Hospis Malaysia really is a Beacon of compassion for children living with life-limiting conditions in Asia!
