On our way to Liverpool, travelling first class and its awesome, coronation chicken wrap for lunch, teas, cakes...and Fiona is liking it very much and looking very comfortable (see picture) as for me, (westy) Im just stashing all the food in the kit bag for later. A few interesting observations as I sit in this magnificent fast train to Liverpool. 1. English folk on holidays to the seaside dress in the most odd ways. 2. Everyone is so polite and well mannered, even on busy trains. In Australia, if someone jumped a queue, there would be a fisticuffs, here they just raise their eyebrows. 3. The English love to eat crisps (potatoe chips) with their meals 4. Nobody has heard of a dim sim over here but they do love these chese and onion fried things with their fish and chips 5. If a train is 1 min late people go bonkers over here, whereas in Oz, if its 10 mins late or even shows up then thats a miracle 6. They have crazy names for towns over here that make us laugh on sight like Cockfosters (*me laughing again*) or is it just me? Ok next stop Liverpool and Anfield is calling.
