On the 20th October we did the annual Talana Ghost Walk which involves a small wreath laying ceremony to honour the brave fallen men from both sides that gave the ultimate sacrifice at this Battle of Talana. This was the 115th anniversary of the Battle. We then take a walk up the hill and enjoy some sherry and corn beef sandwiches around a bonfire while Pam McFadden the curator of the museum gives us a rundown of the battle. When I returned down the hill I noticed these monuments lit up and though it was interesting and I hope you enjoy the results.
