On the 5th of may 2014, a meeting was held at empong community hall among the various youth leaders of tai villages in chongkham circle and a consensus was met for the formation of an apex tai youth body of chongkham circle under the name and style of TAI YOUTH ASSOCIATION of CHONGKHAM CIRCLE with its head office in chongkham. The youth organisation of various villages felt the need for an apex body in the circle for better coordination and tackling of various social issues in the circle with greater effectiveness and also to breed a sense of unity and cooperation among the youth of different villages in the circle for the greater interest of the Tai youth ant the Tai society at large . Prior to the formation of TYA, dozens of meetings were held where debate and discussions were carried out towards its formations in various nook and corner of the circle among the youths till its final cumulation into TYA on the stated date.
