On the G7 There are more reasons than we’re hearing why the most outspoken member and self-appointed leader of the G7 cannot leave the PDP. It is all about political survival. Gov Lamido said he cannot leave PDP because he helped in building the house (and he is right), although with the EFCC sent after his family to rubbish him, he has to tread with utmost caution. Most likely the fear of EFCC (this corruption aiding and abetting organ is fast becoming the terror in chief agent of GEJ’s govt) is the beginning of caution. But the Niger Gov is in the dreariest dilemma. Who wants his head to hit the guillotine if he jumps ship? With no enviable track record of performance back home and always championing regional cause, patriotism just lost steam. Don’t be deceived; this caution is about political relevance post 2015.
