On the home front, we can expect overwhelming opposition from our enemy. Our enemy shows up in our personal lives, our marriages, our families, our deployments. He targets our emotions; fear, anger, anxiety, depression. Can you identify your enemy? In these moments of struggle, it is important to identify our enemy, but even more important to know the One who stands with us in battle. If we know God as our personal Savior, we are never alone. Scripture says, “Don’t waver in resolve. Don’t fear. Don’t hesitate. Don’t panic. God, your God, is right there with you, fighting with you against your enemies, fighting to win.” (Deuteronomy 20:3b-4 ~The Message) May we stand in His confidence, feel the security of His presence and trust Him to help us overcome the enemy and the struggles that plague our hearts.
