On this birthday week of mine, there is a gift I would like from you. I am coming up on the 2 year anniversary of the last time I directed anything. Between health issues and a crazy pile of logistical issues, I pretty much dropped the ball on everything. In the middle of some interesting career momentum, I stopped returning phone calls, stopped answering email, stopped reaching out to friends, and pretty much just turned my attention to life things that refused to be ignored. The health issues are fixed. The logistical issues are stable. I am almost ready to step back into my life. I could use an emotional on ramp and my birthday seems to be the perfect occasion. So heres the gift... Instead of saying happy birthday, would you take a moment to think of something you remember about working with me or seeing my work, or even just me as a person separate from parenting, that was positive to you and remind me of it.
