On this day 95 years ago (14 September 1918) began the artillery preparations for the offensive and the breakthrough of the front line at the Salonika front. Salonika front was breached on 15 September, and the result was the capitulation of Bulgaria, and soon after the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Germany, which ended the First World War. After the breakthrough of the Salonika front, the Serbian army liberated Serbia, and all the countries that were later incorporated into the new joint state - the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.
