Only one item on this agenda - ongoing discussion of the General Plan Update. At the last meeting, the Planning Commission voted to: 1) Recommend that the City Council certify the EIR and adopt the ECAS. 2) Continue their consideration of the proposed General Plan Update. The Planning Commission discussed considering potential revisions to the proposed Plan for their final recommendation to the City Council. The Commission expressed interest in considering a smaller, more focused growth plan, including for the proposed East of Leisure Town Road and Northeast Growth Areas. The General Plan establishes land use, policies, and actions to guide decisions relating to economic development, community character, circulation, land use, open space, the environment, and public health and safety. The General Plan will guide land use and development decisions for new growth areas and for existing areas within the City. Meeting will be televised LIVE on Channel 26 (Xfinity); Channel 99 (U-Verse); and can be viewed on any device through the Citys website.
