Once again the Goole Times sports editor has taken a machete to my report. For instance, I wrote Mike Harvey is improving by leaps and bounds, which does come across as a strange running style. It was my weak attempt at a joke, a child of five could see that. I didnt mean Mike really has a strange running style. The editor put it as Mike Harvey is improving by leaps and bounds, despite a strange running style. I hope you can see that changes the meaning entirely. So sorry Mike, none of us thinks youve got a dodgy style, but clearly the sports editor does. He must have caught you on a bad day! Nigel PS one more of these machete attacks and my teddy will be thrown so far from the pram it may never be retrieved.
