BUT IF WE LOOK CAREFULLY AT VERSE 27, IT REVEALS TO US WHO ARE THE PEOPLE WHICH VERSE 28 IS SPEAKING ABOUT. JOHN 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and THEY FOLLOW ME: ((( THEY FOLLOW ME ))) SO IF A PERSON IS TRULY FOLLOWING JESUS, THEY WILL NOT GO BACK TO THEIR SINFUL WAYS, NOR THE FILTH OF THE WORLD. ---------------------------------------------------- -------------- ANOTHER PASSAGE THAT IS OFTEN USED TO PROMOTE THIS FALSE DOCTRINE IS, ROMANS 8:38 AND 39. 38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. THE PEOPLE IN THIS PASSAGE WERE ONCE CHRISTIANS, WHO HAD ESCAPED THE POLLUTIONS OF THE WORLD THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD JESUS, AND THEN WERE OVERCOME AND ENTANGLED AGAIN THEREIN. VERSE 21 THEN TELLS US THAT IT WOULD OF BEEN BETTER FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, MEANING THEY OBVIOUSLY KNEW IT, BUT THEN CHOSE TO RETURN TO THEIR OLD VOMIT ( SIN ). ---------------------------------------------------- ---------- LUKE 12:4 AND 5. 4) And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5) But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
