Once upon a time, I was a complete and utter mess. I made mistakes...big ones...I did things I had no business doing, and I put those things before my child(ren). I thank God every single day that He picked me up out of that mess before it got too bad. It could have ended very differently than it did. I could have been a serious addict. I could have been a thief because of it. I could have been all different kinds of things. BUT IM NOT! I was delivered up out of that mess. I could have went back. It is my choice where I stay. I choose to stay right here under my covering, under His grace. I know how hard it is to be wrapped up in things that are hard to overcome. I know how hard it is to see loved ones hurt because of my choices. I also know that it IS POSSIBLE to be freed from and continue to be free from these things. The enemy likes to remind us all of where we were...of all of things we have done wrong...of how we can never be who God has called us to be because of all of this...HE IS A LIAR!! ...Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new... -2 Corintians 2:15 from the Message Bible. Fresh start. The old is gone. The new emerges. Lets not keep drudging it up. Mommas...if youre struggling...keep your eyes focused on the one who died for you...the one who says you were worth dying for...the one who walks with you all the way to freedom...the one who will be celebrating right along with you when you receive your victory! It doesnt matter what kind of victory we need, He has the answers we need!
