One afternoon, while my good friend Michael Hawley and Sully - TopicsExpress

One afternoon, while my good friend Michael Hawley and Sully Sullivan were in Park City Utah promoting our little film at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2002, what I thought was a vagrant man dressed like a skater kid, came up to us as we were cracking about being Canadians in an American town. He seemed genuinely interested in what we were talking about, and I was just about the shook him away as I thought he was going to ask us for change (I had been used to that as I was living in Vancouver at the time). On double take, to my surprise that unassuming man was Robin Williams. Mikey so happened to have the camera rolling, and we managed to capture a few moments. We continued to chat casually with him about Canada and how much he loved the nature up here, specifically the endowments lands and trails he used for mountain biking. I am not much on celebrity, although Robins candidness and lack of pretense was admirable and left a lasting impression on me. Monday was a very sad day for since I couldnt imagine a family man with so much of a lust for life and love of people could choose to bring his time on earth to an end. He must of been in real pain. Rest in peace Robin, from your Canadian friends. #RIPRobinWilliams Here is a glimpse at that moment from 2002.
