One day Dad set out to build a fine dog house. He spent all day drawing up plans, organizing tools and reassuring his wife that this project would not turn out like all the other crap he had done. So dad ventures off to the home improvement store, Dad arrives with a gleam in hi eyes and a very fluid imagination as to what this sculpture was going to be like. After a moderate amount of time, Dad put the regular basket back and retrieved the vertical materials dolly that he knew would suffice in his gathering. Yes my friends, it was glorious. It wasnt too much later that in Dads amazement he went back to the cart section to retrieve a flat bed cart as this would hold much more. Not wanting to lose time and feeling the need to begin fresh, he did what any scholarly craftsman would do, He left the other cart and all the schtuff and took the new one (empty) and moved on. After about an hour of what I would like to describe as festive gathering, Dad proceeded to the checkout where if I recall correctly spent around $190.00 on supplies. Dad proceeded back home and began to unload the vehicle. He spent about an hour organizing and ensuring he had the correct tools for the job. It is always important to have the correct tools. After close inspection it appeared that another trip to the store was warranted. Needless to say, that afternoon the project began. This was not just to be a doghouse, it was to be an immaculate engineering project of immense proportion. Yes hours went by and finally it was complete. It weighted 400 pounds, leaked in about ten places, eventually got termites and was left at the house when the house was sold. The dog never actually lived in it, in fact Not sure he ever actually went in it at all.
