One day I was lying in bed watching TV when I heard a knock at the door. I still had the TV on my mind when I opened the door and saw two females from a neighborhood church was standing there. All at once a voice loud and clear exclaimed, do you want to go to heaven? Startled, I said what? I would imagine many people feel that way when Jehovah’s Witnesses knock on their door following Jesus last command (Matthew 28:19, 20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations…20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. Thus, taking people from what they are doing just as Jesus and his followers did from house to house and city to city to listen to the Kingdom message reasoned from the Hebrew writings at that time about God’s coming Kingdom. That is what Jehovah’s Witnesses are doing at your door just as they are instructed to do today at (Matt 24:14) this good news of God’s Kingdom will be preached throughout the world before this way of doing life ends. So, following the example Jesus set, I open the conversation by explaining my presence, for instance. I am working in your neighborhood today talking with your neighbors about some aspect of the Kingdom, and ask how they feel about it placing scriptures to support the conversation because John 17:3 points out taking in this knowledge means they may obtain everlasting life that was lost for them in the beginning of human creation (Gen. 2:17;3;1-6) So the purpose of Jehovah’s Witnesses being at your door is to set up a personal bible study. This is a lifesaving educational system drawn up by Jehovah God and carried out by Christ. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. .
