One injured in Friday afternoon crash near Sikeston A Portageville resident was injured in a single-car crash on Friday afternoon near Sikeston. 19-year-old Cassidy H. Patterson of Portageville, who was wearing her seat belt, was the driver of a car that ran off I-55 and struck a cable barrier. Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper B.A. Pratt said she sustained minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to the Sikeston hospital. The crash occurred at 5:31pm Friday afternoon at the intersection of I-55 and I-57, just south of the Sikeston city limits.
