One of my clients just reached her one-year mark since the last time she had a binge episode. Incidentally, shes been working with me for just over a year now, and in that time, she has dieted down for about five months and then spent the next nine months reverse dieting. During her reverse diet with me, I should note, she increased her macros from 160/190/46 (1814 Calories) to 160/360/73 (2737 Calories) while only putting on 6lbs of bodyweight. I remember when she first came to me, she was struggling with binging pretty frequently and she was feeling guilty about her indulgences. Ive worked closely with her over the past 13 months to heal her relationship with food. She no longer feels bad about her daily treats and shes happier than shes been in a long time. Her mindset is relentlessly positive - and thats no coincidence. Eating sugar isnt inherently healthy, no. And I can assure you, I know there are plenty of more nutrient-dense foods than pizza. But if fitting in treats into your diet every now and then is what it takes to keep the binges at bay - and better yet, maintain your overall sanity - then I am all for it. bodybuilding/fun/diet-doesnt-need-to-mean-denial.html
