One of my dearest Italian friend named Fiorella whom I got to know through my daughter Lirica at Paris got to be 40, had invited us to her birthday party . It was our main purpose to visit south Italy this time. We made long trip to celebrate her com memorable birthday. At the end of a gorgeous party at classy hotel , young poet Yuri Shibata who accompanied ricited her own poem in Japanes and I read English translated though my translation is imperfect . For the heroin of the party who is longing to the space from her childhood and now works for ESA in France, Yuri dedicated the poem about the space. Here let us introduce the full text . Of course , unauthorized copying is prohibited. "If.....into the space" If I could deliver the sound into the space Firstly, those footsteps of rain Then, the whisper of wind The shout of dinosaur The prayer of squirrell The fluffy sound of batterfly And also the sigh of the night If I could listen to the sound of the space Sitting on the rings of Saturn Wearing the robe of aurora I would listen to the tales of thousands of stars If I could deliver the voice into the space Firstly, those twinkling of your eyes Then, your singing At night, on the earth Something evil would creeps into my heart But in the space The world shall be closed happily in peace.
