One of my favorite people in the knit and crochet world – Mary - TopicsExpress

One of my favorite people in the knit and crochet world – Mary Beth Temple – is in the area for a quick visit, and I’ve been able to convince her to come out and do a class with us on Monday morning, June 17,. Mary Beth describes herself as “freelance writer, author, designer of both crochet and knit patterns, teacher, and all around yarn-obsessed crazy person. She is the author of books as diverse as The Secret Language of Knitters, Curvy Girl Crochet, Design It Yourself Afghans, and Hooked for Life not to mention co-authoring Touring New Jersey’s Lighthouses). Her designs and articles have appeared in magazines from Interweave Crochet and Interweave Knits, to Creative Knitting and Hooked on Crochet, and she is also a Contributing Pattern Editor and designer for Vogue Crochet. Mary Beth’s world is a little hectic, but she and everyone around her have a heck of a good time! Needless to say, Mary Beth has a lot of cool tips and tricks for using a crochet hook, and she’ll share some of the best ones with us Monday morning. Bring your crochet hook, some knitting needles, and two different colors of smooth yarn in a weight compatible with your needles. This is a class for beginners, so don’t worry if you don’t know how to crochet.
