One of my young.people received a notable amount of controversy over our celebration of our Lord and Saviors birthday. Some say that Jesus wasnt born on December 25. These are the same of some who dont believe in Him or are blinded by the materialism that the Christmas season brings. These are also the ones that have little or no Biblical knowledge of Gods Word. Because of the other 364(5) other days of the year, and His mother and adoptive father ( Joseph) need to keep his birth a secret, we will never know. In all your getting get understanding! Let me expound. Look at the Roman government as our own. We have fashioned our government after them. Dead presidents on our money, democratic policies and rule, trial and sentencing for criminal behavior, etc... Now look at Herod and the Caesars, their laws were to be carried out to the fullest extension. Herod had pronounced a death sentence on the Christ child. To make sure that his sentence was unfailing Herod had every manchild under the age of 2 to be murdered. This was called the Slaughter of the Innocents. As those of us who know the story, that an angel came to Joseph and told him to take his wife and child to Egypt and to remain there until God sends His Word that they may return. Soooooooo.... If we look at the government today, everyone within the graphe of my post, knows or have known someone that has been wanted and warranted by law officials. Depending on the severity of the crime, (high felonies) murder, kidnapping there are no statutes of limitations on these kind of crimes and the person shall shall be persued until their capture. Jesus had a death sentence pronounced on his life. So it we imperative that His parents keep His birthday a secret even upon their return to the Holy land. This is why we dont know Jesus actual birthday simply because it could have defeated His purpose that He came. Also how old is God? From everlasting to everlasting. Jesus is the.only man who is older than his mother (Mary) and just as old as His Father (God) - PRB3 Those who dispute us celebrating His birthday in the Spirit of Love and Unity, the gathering near and far of friends and families in togetherness to recognize why He came (because God so loved the world!!!) They are the same Spirit of the ones who bidded (bet) Him that if He be God then save Himself from the Cross!!! Tsk-tsk-tsk.. Jesus summed it up when He referred to the Pharisees after He healed the blind man. He said They dont see and they dont want to see!!! God Bless You Sis.
