One of our guests on Tripadvisor: “Amazing stay w/the baboons and monkeys!” We loved the Primate Lodge Kibale! The property is in the middle of the jungle - an absolutely lovely setting! Its also walking distance (maybe a 1-2 minute walk) to the start point of the Chimp trekking, so that makes the location very convenient. The property is spacious with lots of little jungle bungalows, all in private settings so you can monkey watch from your porch. There are nice open air common spaces, like a lounge area, a bar, the restaurant and the lobby. Food I thought was just okay - that was my only complaint. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I walked to our room one afternoon and there were 2 baboons sitting on the windowsill of our bungalow staring into our room (not sure what they were looking at?). And the rest of the troop was walking right in front of our bungalow. And we spotted so many monkeys just scampering through the jungle surrounding our room.
