IDAHO SPRINGS - Family members in Idaho Springs say they are heartbroken and searching for answers after the death of a 15-month-old child. They told 9NEWS they were forced to take Logan Borchik off life support after several days in the hospital. Idaho Springs Police say they are investigating the 15-month-olds death. They say on May 6 at 1:40 p.m., police responded to a 911 call that the little boy was choking. However, police say when they got there, they found injuries that were not consistent with choking. They say Logans medical problems were more serious. Records show the Department of Health and Human Services had been in touch with the family in the past. A spokeswoman for the agency told 9NEWS they cant say how many times they visited or what the meetings were about. Police say they are looking very closely at the people who had the last contact with Logan before he died.
