One of the greatest tactics used by satan against people, is that of distracting them from thinking. We are told over and over again in the Bible to seek knowledge, wisdom and understanding. No one becomes wise by accident, Understanding comes only through intense seeking and rigorous thinking. In modern American society, it is almost impossible to find time to think. We are constantly rushing here and there, caught up in the hustle and bustle of urban life. And now, with the ubiquitous proliferation of smart phones and other gadgets giving us instant and constant access to the internet, it seems all hope is lost. Dont be fooled by modern American society, turn off the reality shows, put down the I pad and think. Dont just think about career decisions, vacations or 401k funds, think about the big questions, the ultimate questions of life, such as; why did God create me? what is Gods will for the human race? Whats going to happen to me when I die? Will there really be a judgment day? Will I be punished for my sins? How do I get forgiveness for my sins? Are we really living in the last days of history? God is trying to help us think, all around us things are happening to remind us that life is fleeting, and that these material things cannot bring us true peace or happiness. Take heed my friends.
