One of the key organisation bringing together this event is the Outback Academy. The Outback Academy was established for the purpose of accelerating economic freedom, employment and well-being for Indigenous Australians through strategic joint business ventures; job creation and local jobs for local people; relevant training; and targeted social investments. Outback Academy Hospitality and Food Ambassador, Mark Olive, is working with the Outback Academy and community partners across Australia to deliver Outback Academy Master Classes in Bush Native Foods and Hospitality training programs. The programs under the banner Outback Academy RESPECT bring work experience and employability skills training through to employment, apprenticeships and accredited training in a Certificate III in Hospitality/Commercial Cookery. The Outback Academy Master Classes include other Indigenous knowledge holders, in bush native foods, traditional and contemporary cuisine. Master Classes are part of pre-employment and on-going training as apprentice chefs and hospitality professionals.
