One of the last times I seen my aunt Mindy before she was in the hospital and passed was at my graduation from NSU. I remember being so tired from staying up late trying to finish beading my cap. I wasnt very emotional because I was sooo tired...when we came down the stairs to line up I seen Mindy sitting there in her wheelchair with my family. I walked by her and said hi to her and started crying as I walked to my seat. I remember her being sick for the past few years and every time I would pray and ask God to just let her at least live long enough so that she would be able to come to my graduation and watch me walk across the stage and be proud of me. It seems very selfish of me to have done that...a lot of the papers I wrote referred to Mindy and Down Syndrome. After graduation I was wheeling her around and introducing her to my professors. Of course they already knew her because of my papers and always talking about her and as most people that met her they loved her! I graduated in May and she passed in June which I feel was my fault as I should have prayed that shed live forever. In a way she will as she is always in our hearts. I love you Mimz
