One of the (many) things I learned by spending time with my son in the Boy Scouts was that there is more light in the sky than darkness. We just have to take the time to allow that light to absorb into our retinas so we can see it. I will never forget one trip in particular up to Raven Knob, lying on my back in a field, staring up at the night sky, and just letting the stars be stars. Carl Sagan once said there are billions and billions of them. After that night, I remember thinking that Mr. Sagans estimate was conservative, at best.
