One of those days where around every corner is double the crisis - TopicsExpress

One of those days where around every corner is double the crisis of the one before. Coming home early was supposed to be the cure, but it got worse. When I couldnt fix the crisis at home, I threw in the towel and asked my stepson to call on that friendly neighbor, Henry, who knows how to fix anything. When I checked in with David, he said he had called Henry, but he was at his mothers funeral in San Diego. Nobody had told us. His mother, Katherine Osborn, was such a kind and gentle woman. I have the privilege of helping her tell her life story. When her memory began its slow escape and she couldnt remember where she was born, Henry and his wife played for her the video of the oral history interview I had done. Katherine was delighted. Today would have been my mothers 91st birthday, so she was on my mind. I know I could have called on her today and she would have some Band-Aids for my grown-up boo boos. My heart goes out to Henry Osborn, his wife Jan McElwee, and all the grandchildren. I know how much everyone will miss her. Mothers are irreplaceable. youtu.be/EGXBZ_bS2cI
