One of those moments when I am so, so proud of social media. An amazing campaign designed to shed light on the medias biased, vilifying profiling of minority youth. Using contrasting images of the same individual--for example, in a military uniform vs. a hoodie and bandana-- the question is asked: If they gunned me down, which photo would they use? Beyond the answer to this powerful question, a broader message is clear: regardless of whether you dress or speak a certain way, no matter what the story of your life is, no innocent person should be murdered by someone designated to serve and protect you. Theres a full Tumblr collecting the images here: bit.ly/1szNxTR Hat-tip to Carter Gibson, by way of Google+.
