One piece of Ivory = an elephants life. One rhino tusk/ remedy = one less rhino in the world. Elephants are shot and killed, often suffering for days before they die, for their ivory tusks. They do not just fall off or harmlessly get cut off. Babies are orphaned and the elephant population is dwindling because of this high demand, illegal ivory trade. Rhinos are also effected, being poached for their tusks. These animals are quietly anesthetized and their tusks are literally carved out of their skulls. Their poachers care so little about their lives that they dont even have the decency to to kill them and put them out of heir misery. They just walk away and let them wake up with half of heir face hacked away. This is more than cruel. It is unconscionable. According to the documentary Saving Africas Giants with Yao Ming, there are currently only SEVEN white rhinos in the world and only four of those are of reproductive age. If this continues, there will be no rhinos at all, of any kind. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Join Yao Ming (NBA), David Beckham, Prince William, Edward Norton, me, and many more... PLEASE help end their suffering and stop the pathway to the extinction of elephants and rhinos by agreeing not to buy or trade ivory or anything with rhino tusks. Oh... and share this ;-) Thank you
