One question I get asked alot is how do I lose weight? And the simplest way I can put this is, you need to be in a calorie deficit. Which means you need to be burning more calories then consuming.The main way to achieve this is through diet and obviously exercise. Eat smart, meaning, eat for what you do. First things first, clean eating. Clean eating can be put simply, if its artificially made then it probably isnt very good for you. If your diet isnt as clean as you would like it then try this simple approach. When preparing your meals, you want to have about half of your plate green (broccoli, kale, spinach, brussel sprouts ect.), 1/4 lean meat (rump steak, chicken breast, salmon ect.) 1/4 low gi carbs (brown rice, sweet potato ect). Also have some good fats added in your meals such as avocado, almonds, walnuts even if theyre as snacks. Portion sizes are another thing. The smaller you can keep them the better. Dont starve yourself but, you dont want to be over eating. You want to finish eating not being full, you should be able to eat more. Most people know what healthy eating is but few people actually practice it. Time is the biggest enemy to everyone here, most just dont seem to have enough of it, Ive found that if you prepare your meals enough for a few days ensures you wont skip meals, go hungry, then cheat on your diet when youre not suppose to. Cheat meals can be an effective tool for fat burning and also a reward for sticking to your diet. I personally eat a cheat meal after 4 days of clean eating as a reward usually pancakes for breakfast. It should only be one meal then get back on the clean eating plan.
