One thing I Love about Mother Theresa is that she taught you cannot Love someone if you are judging them because you are focusing on what is wrong with them instead of appreciating them for who they are in the moment. That is why it is important to be mindful of your thoughts and how they make you feel. Obviously a kind hearted judgement with the intention of making others laugh is fine as long as the person being made fun of is cool with it. The other side of judging though is that most people judge out of hate, fear, or envy. Hate because they see something they dont like and instead of choosing to have peace, they judge for hatred and it is true. hatred can briefly feel good because there is power in hatred. The truth about hatred though is that in the long run it feels awful to hate and its actually proven to be bad for ones health. That is the idea behind Star Wars and the light side and dark side of the force. People judge out of fear, like oh that person is mentally ill if i hang around him i might get hurt because he is clearly irrational. The thing is, people are mentally ill for exactly that reason. they get labeled as something, people fear them and dont want to be around them. So that person becomes lonely people dont talk to them so they become more irrational and ill. Everyone needs Love and respect. Finally people who dont have true inner peace become jealous of other peoples lives or girlfriends or boyfriends. Because they are not mindful of what is causing their thoughts they start to find reasons to resent the person they are envious of. Jesus taught do not judge or you too shall be judged for the measure you use onto others will be used onto you. Brother, why are you trying to take the log out of my eye without removing the speck in yours. The speck signifies the point of judgment that interferes with that person seeing clearly and loving. The log signifies mother nature who is life. The only real reason to judge someone is to show them how they are hurting mother nature who is the Life. That is when you use spiritual discernment and plant a seed so that person can see more clearly.
