One thing that we must all learn when pursuing relationships is that we must commit to someone who is choosing to honor our commitment with the same intensity level. Never give someone the whole cow who only wants a glass of milk. Though we may wish the best of people, and hope that all people display actions that show that they are inherently good people, the simple fact of the matter is that some people will take advantage of you if you allow them to. In order to avoid blurred lines in a relationship, a person has to be willing to be honest with themselves and accept a persons actions before they are willing to accept their words. People can say whatever they want to, but every action they make will either help to prove or disprove the statements that they would like for you to believe. Loving someone who doesnt love you back is like hugging a cactus. The tighter you hold on, the more its going to hurt.
