One week ago tonight two of my dearest friends left. Goliath and his 5 month old son Bunton decided to take a sojourn into a land that was foreign to them. I have searched diligently every since and on Friday night, Goliath came home but Bunton remains away from his family. While thinking of how this saddens me because of the attachment we get to our pets, I was reminded how often we as Christians deliberately stray from the safety of Gods family. When this occurs, as it often does, our Heavenly Father who loves us supremely, searches diligently to bring us back into the safety of His arms. Much like what I am experiencing now with the separation from Bunton, God grieves even more because of the broken fellowship from His children. I certainly hope that this little fellow that I have grown to love comes back home but I also hope that in all situations I encounter, whether good or bad, God will use it to open my eyes wider to His love for me.
