One year ago today, I went on the earliest date I could ever fathom. 8am. Glos. Look for the dashingly handsome guy in the corner, he said. Not only was he right, he looked even better in person than his OKC pictures suggested. After some amazing conversation over bacon and bennys, he walked me to my car where the real test began. Chemistry can be tricky and, unlike my usual dinner dates, there was no fancy lighting or gentle libation to aid this moment. As he leaned in for our first kiss, my nerves turned to dancing butterflies and the busy Seattle streets went silent. Pulling away from this magical embrace, I opened my eyes to his most adorable face, quickly jesting that hed be okay with seeing me again as soon as humanly possible. Turns out, I was okay with that, too. Happy anniversary, Peebs! Theres no one else in the world Id feel safer sharing my 100% weirdo self with and Im endlessly grateful we get to adventure through this wonderful life together. It sure is neat.
