One year ago today my family lost an amazing man. One year ago today I walked into my grandpas hospital room to spend his last few hours with him alongside my family. There was so many tears shed the days prior, the day of and the days....weeks....months and now a year after. But on that day what accompanied the sadness was LOVE. A beautiful love that words would simply not do it justice. My grandpa was surrounded by his siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was never without someone in his room standing by his side. His fight was tough and his perseverance to hold on as long as he could, showed strength, even in his weakest moments. He was tired and needed eternal rest. And what a beautiful moment it was to share his very last moments, holding hands, leaning on and hugging the beautiful family that exists because of my grandpa and grandma. My grandparents werent the wealthiest momentarily, but they were quite rich in values and traditions that each of us holds so close in our hearts. Traditions and values that we will instill in our children in hopes that what my grandparents worked so hard for will perceiver for future generations. They showed us unconditional love and to always be there for each other. Our familia has grown and we remain united. Just like you taught us. May you continue to rest in peace Cuco. I love you!!!!
