Only Through Christ Will We Receive The Measureless Fountain Of Truth That Deepens As We Gaze Into Its Depths It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. (Ps. 118:8, 9) I Will Trust You - https://youtube/watch?v=LyNbFfIzDvg All throughout this week God has been reminding us that our wisdom is foolishness unto Him. Our knowledge is finite. Many of us Christians continue to allow the philosophies of this world to guide our actions each day. Based on the standards set by the world, we are considered to be intelligent if we have a PhD. We are considered to be intelligent if we are a Doctor or Lawyer. But the Bus Driver and Taxi Driver is not consider someone who has wisdom and is knowledgeable. We push our children to get the highest marks at primary school, secondary school and at University. We pressure ourselves to strive to get to the top of what the world called a “profession”. We spend a tremendous amount of time combing through the books in preparation for our professional certification exam. We hope that after receiving these “papers” a statement is made about our knowledge and intelligence. If we read carefully the lesson, we should come to the conclusion that at the end of this pursuit of knowledge we are still ignorant. While God wants us to excel at our school work, it should never be at the expense of spending time combing through the Holy Scripture. You see my friend; when we spend time combing through the scriptures we will eventually lose all confidence in the certification papers that we receive from men. Instead we will seek to get into a closer walk with God, whose has PERFECT knowledge. We would seek to have a relationship with God so that He can give us knowledge and wisdom. We would seek to have a relationship with God just because He is God… Our focus will never be on what we can get from Him. Our focus would rest on just being in His presence. For In his presence there is fullness of joy. All knowledge and wisdom comes from God. Without His guidance and direction we have NO knowledge and wisdom. I pray that we will continue to out our trust in Jesus today so that we can continue to grow in His image. Eternal life is the end game. Please continue to keep your eyes fix on this prize. IT is the ONLY important prize in this world. Truth in Christ and through Christ is measureless. The student of Scripture looks, as it were, into a fountain that deepens and broadens as he gazes into its depths. Not in this life shall we comprehend the mystery of Gods love in giving His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. The work of our Redeemer on this earth is and ever will be a subject that will put to the stretch our highest imagination. Man may tax every mental power in the endeavor to fathom this mystery, but his mind will become faint and weary. The most diligent searcher will see before him a boundless, shoreless sea. The truth as it is in Jesus can be experienced, but never explained. Its height and breadth and depth pass our knowledge. We may task our imagination to the utmost, and then we shall see only dimly the outlines of a love that is unexplainable, that is as high as heaven, but that stooped to the earth to stamp the image of God on all mankind Yet it is possible for us to see all that we can bear of the divine compassion. This is unfolded to the humble, contrite soul. We shall understand Gods compassion just in proportion as we appreciate His sacrifice for us. As we search the word of God in humility of heart, the grand theme of redemption will open to our research. It will increase in brightness as we behold it, and as we aspire to grasp it, its height and depth will ever increase. (Christ’s Object Lessons, pg. 128, 129 – Ellen G. White)
