Only about 7% of Americans ever serve in the United States Armed - TopicsExpress

Only about 7% of Americans ever serve in the United States Armed Forces (of those, less than 10% complete a career in the military). Yet, it seems to me that of the remaining 93% of those who never did anything for their rights the majority still feel the right to complain about how bad they have it. I have an idea - no American has the right to complain about anything until theyve served the US in some capacity. Then youve EARNED the right to complain. Until then, just shut up. Veterans dont want to hear your complaints about how bad you have it and how the government owes you anything - except national security and opportunity. And dont even tell military veterans how much you appreciate their service if you dont support the constitution - the very thing theyve taken an oath to defend to the death. And even if the ultimate sacrifice isnt made our military pays for their service in so many ways it make one wonder why they make the sacrifice. Service in the United States Armed Services is a way of life that is all consuming. Ask the former spouse of any military member. So, why would someone voluntarily choose this way of life - because of love of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - for others, not just thinking of themselves. So, as the US celebrates Veterans Day - ask yourself if you really, truly appreciate the things this exceedingly small number of people are willing to give up their lives for - or, as our government classifies them, you consider veterans to be domestic terrorists because of their love of the constitution.
