Opening of 6th Asian Regional Human Rights Defenders Forum: Imagine was performed by youths from Philippines. A letter from an HRD, Cocoy, sent from prison was read by another HRD, in which he mentioned Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and fellow HRDs from Burma. Dear my HRD sisters and brothers of Burma/Myanmar, I hope we will also have a chance to host such regional forum on Human Rights Defenders at one day soon in our mother land, Burma/Myanmar that is free from military rule and genuinely democratic! Saying this, we have a long way to go and so much to do in order to the protect the human rights of our people... But with your dedication, motivation, commitment, & hard work, Id say, Why not??? Miss you all from Manila! And hope to be back to join hands with you real soon..
